We are happy to announce that our project Welcome Notes in Bosnia Herzegovina is continuing its activities in 2024 with a new partnership with Caritas BiH. We will work together to keep bringing music workshops at reception centers in the region for people in forced migration.

Musicians Without Borders has implemented the Welcome Notes program in Bosnia Herzegovina since 2022, and have reached over 4,000 participants in our workshop activities. Coming year we will work with three music teams that will be active in five different reception centers. These are based in the regions Sarajevo canton, the Una-Sana canton, and Tuzla canton, being the three regions where most people in forced migration are living in reception centers.

Caritas BiH is a relevant actor in providing support to people on the move. Through the BRAT project, Caritas BiH is part of an international effort to facilitate reception in the so-called Balkan route, and provide the needed assistance and support.

Both Caritas BiH and Welcome Notes program work in a sustainable way to improve the situation of people in forced migration in Bosnia Herzegovina. Our combined efforts and activities aim to offer some moments of connection, joy, creativity, expression, relief, and a message of welcome through our sharing music experiences.
