Al-Musiqa Tajm’ana uses music to strengthen resilience, connection, positive identity and belonging in vulnerable and underserved youth and children in Jordan. The program works with children with a refugee background and children from Jordan through a training program for musicians, music students and teachers.
Music leadership training
Since 2021, we collaborate with local initiatives in Jordan to offer music leadership training. The training curriculum is packed with activities and information that can be applied immediately in the trainees’ daily life.
Since the summer of 2021, our trainees have delivered hundreds of music workshops to children with a refugee background, orphaned children, youth in a juvenile center, and women in a shelter.
In 2022, we started the Music as Therapy Blended Learning Course with our partner Music as Therapy International, which includes online learning, an onsite training weekend, and practical work with young children with disabilities.
