Musicians are invited to join our upcoming Welcome Notes training in the Netherlands. This 4 day training prepares participants to use music as a tool to support refugees and asylum seekers.

When we start a Welcome Notes workshop, many of us are strangers to each other. Yet, generally, within a few minutes we are playing together with the openheartedness of children. That’s the power of music – it bridges the divides of language, origin, cultures and customs.

We have come to the end of the pilot year of our Welcome Notes project in the Netherlands and we would like to share some experiences from one of our workshop leaders with you.

Welcome Notes Italy was launched with the first training for 30 musicians in Italy in partnership with Musicians for Human Rights.

This weekend, we began a new training for 30 musicians in Italy in partnership with MUSICIANS for HUMAN RIGHTS with the aim to develop inclusive music programs in local refugee centers.

This training is inspired by our Welcome Notes program, using music to support the inclusion of refugees and migrants throughout Europe.
