Music for Music: From Mexico to Palestine

November 3 @ 3:00 pm - 4:30 pm CET

Les
On November 3, the Mennonite Church Haarlem and Musicians Without Borders organize a special concert: young musicians from Mexico will play a benefit concert for young musicians in Palestine.

In Palestine, Musicians Without Borders works with marginalized children in the West Bank where making music offers connection, creativity and a safe space for expression. From this work, a children’s orchestra has emerged that plays together every week, even in the current situation of violence and oppression.

Thousands of kilometres away, young people in a violent area in Mexico come together to learn to play instruments. With the help of Stichting Sonoro, a youth orchestra has been set up: the Orquesta de Cámara Amadeus.

Knowing how important music can be when living under difficult circumstances, the Orquesta de Cámara Amadeus will play a benefit concert for young musicians in Palestine on November 3. Don’t miss this special concert and experience how ‘War Divides and Music Connects’.
