World Wide Music Day

World Wide Music Day, (Fête de la Musique), started in Paris in 1982 to make music free and accessible to everyone. Today it is celebrated on June 21 in over 700 cities around the world. We invite musicians, bands, choirs, and ensembles around the world to organize benefit concerts each year on or around June 21st to help raise funds and awareness for our work of healing and reconciliation through music.

Since we began our World Wide Music Day initiative in 2014, over 350 musicians from more than 30 cities around the world have helped raise support for our projects around the world, bringing music into the lives of thousands of men, women and children in Palestine, Rwanda, Kosovo, Uganda and Northern Ireland.

How to get involved?

It is easy to get involved, as a musician, band, choir, ensemble, or event organizer:

  • Dedicate an existing event/gig/performance to WWMD
  • Organize a special WWMD 2018
  • Post a link and logo on your website in support of Musicians without Borders

What we can do for you?

  • As soon as you register your event with us, you will receive our ‘benefit in a box’ toolkit
  • We will promote your event together with links to your website/social media on our own social media outlets
  • For artists – you will receive exclusive access to Musicians Connect, our online community of musicians dedicated to social change through the power of music

If there is something to be changed in this world, then it can only happen through music. – Jimi Hendrix
