Proximity Mine perform on truck stage at major benefit
April 30, 2018   West Balkans

On April 14, mixed Mitrovica Rock School band Proximity Mine was invited by the Danish Guard Detachment of KFOR to perform at its humanitarian Dancon March and benefit concert at its base in Novo Selo.

Proximity Mine performing on a “truck stage”

The soldiers marched 30 km that day and were surprised by Proximity’s performance upon their return.  There was a surprise for the band as well: the stage where they had to perform wasn’t exactly as they imagined… a massive truck had been converted into one of the most eye-catching stages where our bands have ever played.

The band members were welcomed by the soldiers with food and drinks and set up the stage. Project managers Liza and Emir had brought Rock School CDs for the camp soldiers which made them very happy because now they would have some nice music in the background while they drive in their cars.

It was a great show both for the band and the audience. The proceeds of the day were generously donated to the Mitrovica Rock School and will go to a public address system for school concerts. The Mitrovica Rock School is thankful for the generous support of KFOR’s Danish Guard Detachment.
