In the war-torn city of Mitrovica (Kosovo) Serbs and Albanians live completely divided. But there is one Mitrovica Rock School, where youth from the two sides come together.
Proximity Mine are a brave band, crossing the bridge on foot to rehearse. They are serious about their music, but in a city where only the conflict and the devastated economy count, they need a helping hand.
You can help Proximity Mine record their first album – any amount helps. Their music and their example are important to the next generation in Kosovo.
Fundraising goal: € 2,900, which covers travel to/accommodation in Skopje, studio time and post-production costs.
Countless people are affected by war and conflict every day. We use music as a tool to build connections, foster empathy and shape communities. Studies have shown that music is a powerful tool that can shape culture and strengthen social bonds.
Music is our universal language.
Show your support and donate today so we can continue using music as a means to address societies divided and affected by conflict.
