Musical Playground with 150 deaf children
February 25, 2017   Palestine

This week our team in Palestine gave music workshops to 48 deaf children, 6-10 years old, preparing them for the Musical Playground Performance. In the performance during the school’s carnival celebrations, 150 deaf children, age 4-16 actively participated. We were impressed by their concentration and accuracy. Being deaf doesn’t prevent them from playing body percussion, rapping, singing, playing flutes and playing rhythms with sticks! Many thanks to Ephpheta Paul VI Pontifical Institute for the Audio-Phonetic Rehabilitation in Bethlehem for their hospitality. You can see more pictures here.
