Mitrovica Rock School vacancy: two local project coordinators

The Mitrovica Rock School works to restore Mitrovica’s rock music tradition, connecting young musicians from north and south Mitrovica through music lessons and band activities. We stand for quality education in popular music, teaching employable skills, and putting the “rock” back in Rock City.

Start date:          September 1, 2016 (availability from August 21 is an asset)

Positions:            Project coordinator (2)

We are hiring two project coordinators, one from each side of Mitrovica, who will work together from the Mitrovica Rock School’s office to coordinate and implement the Rock School’s activities. Previous experience is an asset but not required – we are looking first and foremost for candidates who are eager to learn, hardworking and reliable.

Duties:

  • logistical coordination of activities;
  • writing project proposals and narrative reports;
  • financial administration and reporting;
  • communicating with teachers;
  • updating the website, posting on social media;
  • various support and administrative activities.

The successful candidate:

  • is a team player but also able to work independently;
  • has good communicative and listening skills;
  • is a self-starter;
  • has professional or near-professional written and spoken English-language skills;
  • has a university degree (BA or MA) in a relevant field;
  • is open-minded and eager to learn;
  • is willing to travel when needed.
