Rock School part of major new project With six of Mitrovica's most effective
organizations, the Rock School will develop a broad program for
youth. The Center for Resources, Youth and Media (CRYM) will open
its doors by the end of the year.Auction for the Mitrovica Rock School On Friday, September 24, Jack Daniel's will
celebrate its 160th birthday with an auction to support to the
Mitrovica Rock School. The auction will held at the Crystall Ball in
Amsterdam.

On December 1, World AIDS Day, we launched the funraising campaign for our new project Rwanda Youth Music, a music program for hundreds of HIV+ children and youth in Kigali, Rwanda.
The Netherlands Wind Ensemble, winner of the prestigious Radio 4
Prize, has donated the prize money-- EUR 5000-- to Musicians
without Borders.

The last week of August, 24 Rock
School
students and their 12 teachers from North and South Mitrovica will rock Skopje
- together.
Thich
Nhat Hanh, Vietnamese peace activist, Zen Buddhist master and poet, has endorsed Musicians
without Borders.
From 6 to 8 May, the famed
Netherlands Wind Ensemble (NBE) will
visit Bethlehem from 6 to 8
May, bringing workshops and concerts to children in MwB's Music Bus Goes Middle
East program.
This summer, MwB Director Laura Hassler
will present the work and methodologies at major conferences in Australia and the
United States.
The first week of
March 2011, the teachers and coordinators of the
Mitrovica Rock School in Kosovo will travel to the Fontys Rock Academy in
the Netherlands.

Palestinian village al-Masara on World Diabetes Day.
