Pop/Rock music School Remodel Permit Granted; Benefit Concert Held

The KFOR (UN force in Kosovo) has officially authorized MwB’s partner, CBM (Community Building Mitrovica) to remodel the basement of the Mitrovica Cultural Center for our Pop/Rock School[link to project site]. After many delays because of recurring inter-ethnic strife – French units have finally vacated the space and officially sanctioned CBM/MwB rebuilding efforts. This paves the way for music activities for the divided city’s young musicians to start in 2007.

In November, several Dutch bands, the show band Music Train and the Utrecht Student Association Spontaan gave concerts to benefit the School, raising more than E. 1500 euros. This amount starts the MwB ‘savings account’ at the Dutch organizations Wilde Ganzen and ICCO; Wilde Ganzen and ICCO have agreed to triple all funds raised through concerts and individual donations. Your contribution of 20 EU or USD will result in a 60 EU or USD benefit for the School
