NBE continues coaching music student and teachersThe Nederlands Blazers Ensemble (Dutch Wind Ensemble) has been working with MwB in Bosnia-Herzegovina for more than a year to re-establish wind music education, particularly in oboe and saxophone. Thanks to a grant from the Continuendo MusartE Foundation, the NBE can continue its work through the academic year 06-07. Musicians without Borders Bosnia-Herzegovina has achieved a unique cooperative agreement between the Music Academies in Sarajevo and Banja Luka to jointly open an oboe department.

NBE soloists will continue to coach students and teachers, while also offering recitals and concerts in collaboration with Bosnian musicians and ensembles. NBE and MwB BiH have collaborated in starting Bosnia’s first sheet music library, and an instrument-lending system is in place for students of oboe and saxophone. |
