2010 Skopje Summer School
The last week of August, 24 students
of the Mitrovica Rock School and
their 11 teachers will come together in
neighboring Macedonia for a week of training, recording
and performing.
Mixed bands
At the Summer School, participants will form
mixed bands, choose their songs and band names and work together
towards a major outdoor concert. Trainers from the Fontys Rock Academy (Netherlands)
will give workshops and coach the Mitrovica students and teachers.
August 27: outdoor
concert
On Friday the 27th, the Summer School rockers will stage
a major concert in the Skopje City Park. Of course we
hope to see lots of Mitrovica faces in the audience!
The 2010 Skopje Summer School is
financially supported by the Social Transformation Program (Matra)
of the Netherlands Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and the Finnish,
French and Norwegian Embassies in Pristina.
