Denise Jannah supports Musicians without Borders
On January 24, 2011, singer Denise Jannah joined Musicians
without Borders' Honorary Board.
Music in conflict areas By joining the
Honorary Board, Denise is supporting our projects in Bosnia, Kosovo,
the Middle East and Africa: a rock music school in the ethnically
divided city of Mitrovica (Kosovo), an interethnic wind ensemble in
Bosnia, the training of young Palestinian musicians to give music
workshops to children, and singing projects for women in the Balkans
and in Africa who have been traumatized by war.
International musicians support our works as trainers, project
leaders and ambassadors.
Honorary Board The Honorary Board
consists of key figures in the worlds of politics, culture and
business who support the organization's mission. Other prominent
members include conductors Harry Christophers and Jaap van Zweden,
former Dutch Deputy Prime Minister Jan Terlouw, and former Green
Party leader Femke Halsema.
Building bridges When asked why
she chose to support Musicians without Borders, Denise Jannah
explained: "Music massages the soul and opens our heart, a great way
to connect and build bridges!"
